Join The AfriChild Centre and CPC Learning Network as we share the power of localization and highlight how existing capacity in-country can be used to empower and train Uganda’s emerging researchers.

The Inter-University Child Focused Research Methods Trainings Program brought together seven universities in Uganda together with 30 mid-level researchers who were interested in gaining skills in child focused research methods, grant acquisition, and scientific writing.

Through a formalized training program long-term support and training was provided to emerging researchers to instill the key research skills that will help them succeed and bring a voice to the issues impacting Ugandan children.

We’ll hear from Prof. Fred Wabwire Mangen, lead trainer, Inter-University Training, who will share training program design, methodology, and process.

Dr. Odama K. Modest will share his experience being a mentor to trainees and mentees; and AfriChild’s Mathew Amollo will share challenges and lessons learned from the Inter-University Training.
